The Sky continue its run of good form in the WNBA, fresh off a road win against the Liberty and an overtime win against the Fever.
Chicago heads out west to take on a Sparks team that lost to the worst team in the WNBA last time out, the Seattle Storm while only scoring 63 points. The Sky started slow on offense, but are starting to look the part of a fringe contender, can the visitors keep it rolling?
Here are the odds for Friday night's matchup:
Sky vs. Sparks odds, spread and total
Sky vs. Sparks prediction and pick
The Sky have been a cash cow for bettors so far this season, 6-2 against the spread this season including 5-1 as underdogs. The team has been thriving on defense, fourth in points allowed per 100 possessions, and are starting to see results on offense as well, scoring 108 points per 100 possessions over its last three games, the second best mark in the WNBA.
Meanwhile, the Sparks have been lackluster all season, league average in effective field goal percentage at only 47%, but the team is also posting a negative net rating through six games. While the home team is undefeated against the number at home (3-0), I don't believe the Sparks are the better team and shouldn't be laying over a bucket to a streaking Sky team.
Chicago's offense is starting to click while the Sparks have been middling on that side of the floor. I'll take the small underdog.
