The Indiana Fever may be in last place in the Eastern Conference right now, but they certainly aren't as bad as last season thanks to No. 1 overall pick Aliyah Boston.
Boston has made an immediate impact in Indiana, averaging 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game this season.
The Fever will take on the Seattle Storm, who are just 3-8 on the season and still reeling from the loss of Breanna Stewart and Sue Bird in the offseason.
The lone bright spot for Seattle? Star Jewell Loyd who has absolutely carried the team as of late, including leading the Storm to a win over the Dallas Wings.
Can Indiana show that it is better than a last-place squad in this game?

Fever vs. Storm prediction and pick
This could be a good spot for the Fever, as the Storm have struggled at home this season going just 1-6.
Indiana ranks seventh in the league in net rating this season (compared to Seattle at No. 11), and the team has recent impressive wins over the Chicago Sky and Washington Mystics.
The Storm do have one advantage in this game, and it comes from beyond the arc.
Seattle ranks fifth in the WNBA in 3-point percentage while the Fever clock in at 10th.
That being said, Indiana and Seattle have very similar defensive ratings but the Fever have an offensive rating that is nearly 10 points better per 100 possessions.
With Boston owning the paint, I think the Fever can hold off a hot game from Loyd to cover on Thursday night.
