The NBA Finals have come to an end and we can now turn our attention to the NBA Draft, which is next Thursday on June 22.
While the top three of the NBA Draft appears set with Victor Wembanyama set to go No. 1 and either Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson going No. 2 and No. 3 in some order. So the draft appears to start at No. 4, which is currently the Houston Rockets pick. As the draft draws closer, one player has been picking up steam to be selected in that spot.
While Amen Thompson remains the odds on favorite to go No. 4, Cam Whitmore's stock is rising quickly, now +175 to be the No. 4 pick in what is shaping up to be a two-man race between the two wings.

Whitmore's floor appears to be the No. 5 pick, currently held by the Detroit Pistons, who are likely interested in a wing to pair with the team's prior two lottery picks, Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey.
For what it's worth, Whitmore is still the favorite to go No. 5, +110 at FanDuel Sportsbook, while Amen's twin brother, Ausar is +310. Amen is +470 to go fifth as of this writing.
However, Whitmore is trending towards being a viable candidate at No. 4 with two prominent NBA mock drafters Jonathan Wasserman and Kevin O'Connor slating the Villanova wing to Houston in recent mocks.
Whitmore may be a cleaner fit in Houston as the team is rumored to be connected to guard James Harden. The forward is a far better shooter from the perimeter and doesn't need the ball as much to make an impact.
