The 2023 NBA Draft Lottery is one of the most hyped events of the NBA calendar as we will find out who will get the rights to draft French phenom Victor Wembanyama No. 1 overall.
Wembanyama is one of the most hyped prospects to enter the league, a 7'4″ forward that has shown he is more than capable of all facets of the NBA game including ball handling, jump shooting and defense.
I say that the team that will land the No. 1 pick on Tuesday night will have the rights to Wembanyama because it's a certainty that he is selected first, per oddsmakers and every person connected to the NBA.
Take a look for yourself:
2023 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick odds
- Victor Wembanyama: -20000
- Scoot Henderson: +2500
- Brandon Miller: +12000
You can check out who has the best chance to land the No. 1 pick here, but there hasn't been this much hype around a prospect since Zion Williamson in 2019 and possibly LeBron James in 2003. By landing the first pick, a team changes its trajectory from a rebuilding group to a playoff contender instantly.
Don't think the French sensation will go first? You can get very attractive odds on that outcome, even though he figures to be a max contract level player upon entering the league.
All eyes will be on who wins the Wemby-sweepstakes on Tuesday night.
