Today's USMNT rumors includes Jesse Marsch being backed to take over at Celtic. Villareal has joined the race for Haji Wright and Daniel Edelman has been linked with a move to Europe.
USMNT rumors: Jesse Marsch to Celtic
Celtic's current manager Ange Postecoglou is a candidate for the Tottenham Hotspur job. If the Australian become Spurs' next boss, then it could pave the way for Jesse Marsch to take over at the Scottish champions.
Falkirk midfielder, Stephen McGinn, told Go Radio that he thinks Marsch would be the perfect replacement for Postecoglou. When asked about who he thinks the next Hoops manager should be, McGinn said "I think someone like Jesse Marsch, who's obviously been linked with the Celtic job before.
"He plays that front foot, attacking football which wouldn't mean wholesale changes in terms of the playing style because that group of Celtic players, it can't be someone who goes in and plays off set pieces and goes long. It's got to be someone who continues this attacking football because many of these players have been recruited with that idea, so he would tick some boxes."
Marsch is one of the favorites for the vacant USMNT head coach role. U.S. Soccer is now on its second interim manager after B.J. Callaghan replaced Anthony Hudson. However, Marsch seems focused on continuing his coaching career in Europe and he has also been linked with Monaco.
The Celtic job would be attractive to any manager as they are a top side that won the Scottish Premiership this season. After leaving Liverpool, Brendon Rodgers rebuilt his reputation at Celtic before heading back to the Premier League to take over at Leicester City. This is a path that Marsch could follow to get back to English soccer's top flight.
USMNT rumors: Haji Wright to Villareal
Haji Wright who has scored 15 goals in the Turkish Super Lig this season is in demand but his club Antalyaspor are not going to let him go cheap. Aksam Spor has reported that Villareal has had an offer of €10 million for the player rejected. Antalyaspor want €15 million.
The USMNT's recent roster for the Nations League semi-final against Mexico did not include Wright. However, if the player can move to Villareal and perform well in La Liga, then he will be hard to ignore.
Wright last played in one of Europe's top five leagues when he was at Schalke. After a successful spell in Turkey, it is time for him to test himself at the highest level again.
USMNT rumors: Daniel Edelman to Europe
Daniel Edelman has impressed at the U20 World Cup in Argentina, which has seen him lead the young Stars and Stripes side to the quarter-finals.
His performances have not gone unnoticed with Fabrizio Romano reporting that "USA U20 captain, New York Red Bulls midfielder Daniel Edelman is on the list of clubs in Belgium, Holland and Israel. He's been monitored during World Cup U20 and could be on the move soon."
