Today's USMNT rumors include Folarin Balogun to AC Milan, Timothy Weah to Marseille and Bryan Reynolds to West Ham United.
USMNT rumors: Folarin Balogun to AC Milan
Folarin Balogun is now the first American player to score 20 goals in one of Europe's top five leagues. The previous record was held by Clint Dempsey who scored 17 Premier League goals when he was at Fulham. That form enabled Dempsey to move to Tottenham Hotspur and Balogun's goalscoring exploits will likely earn him a transfer too.
Calciomercato has reported that AC Milan is looking to sign the player who is on loan at Reims from Arsenal. The Italian website revealed that "the Gunners, despite (Balogun's) super season with Reims, do not consider him non-transferable and are ready to listen to offers." However, they also revealed RB Leipzig is interested in Balogun and that he would cost 30 million euros.
A move to Milan would be huge for Balogun, as he will be joining one of the biggest clubs in the World. Milan got to the semi-finals of the Champions League this year. They are currently fourth in Serie A so should still be playing in European soccer's premier competition next season.
Balogun would face competition with Oliver Giroud for a starting place at Milan. Giroud has scored 16 goals this season but he is now 36. It will be a challenge for Balogun to start every game for Milan. However, is prepared to sit on the bench at times and wait for his opportunity, then this move is for him. Balogun is only 21, so could be the Rossoneri's striker for many years.
USMNT rumors: Timothy Weah to Marseille
Timothy Weah has often been used by Lille this season at right-back. However, the player who is naturally a forward could transfer to Marseille, who will be in the Champions League next season. Weah's father George also played for Marseille, so it would be fitting for both generations to represent the club.
L'Equipe has reported that Marseille have been targeting Wilfred Zaha of Crystal Palace but their attention could turn to Weah if they cannot sign the Ivorian. Weah is only 23, so would be a much younger option to Zaha who is now 30.
The USMNT player managed to score against Wales at the World Cup in Qatar last year. Although, Weah has not played for his county since the tournament. A move to a club that is competing in the Champions League will help him regain his place for the Stars and Stripes.
USMNT rumors: Bryan Reynolds to West Ham
Bryan Reynolds has performed well in Belgium for KVC Westerlo where he is on loan from AS Roma. This form could earn the right-back a move to the Premier League.
According to Tom Bogert, "West Ham (are) pursuing Roma's USMNT RB Bryan Reynolds. Reynolds, 21, is set to leave Roma this summer. He's excelled on loan at Westerlo this year, who have already had an initial bid rejected. "
