Today's USMNT news includes Christian Pulisic being linked with Serie A, Rangers are interested in Auston Trusty and Haji Wright is on Southampton's radar.
USMNT news: Christian Pulisic to Serie A
Christian Pulisic has recently been linked with AC Milan but there are now more Italian sides monitoring his situation at Chelsea. According to the Daily Mail "Napoli and Juventus have expressed interest in signing Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic."
Napoli has recently won Serie A, so a move to Italy's league winners would be hard to turn down. The celebrations in the streets of Naples are inspiring and their style of play would suit Pulisic. Under Luciano Spalletti they play a 4-3-3 system where the USMNT forward would be able to play in his favoured position on the right wing.
Juventus are of course a historic club but their manager Massimiliano Allegri often uses a 3-4-2 formation. This would not be good for Pulisic if they deploy him as a wing-back. The American needs to find a club where he can play regularly in a role that gets the best out of him.
USMNT news: Auston Trusty to Rangers
Auston Trusty's season on loan at Birmingham City concluded yesterday, with the side finishing 17th in the Championship. Despite their lowly league position, it was a productive year for the American who won the club's Supporters' Player of the Season award.
After an impressive season, Trusty will look to build on this and ensure that he has regular game time again next season. The Daily Mail has reported that "Trusty is emerging as the man Rangers want to strengthen their defence this summer… Rangers are keen to get a deal done with Arsenal for around £2 million."
Scotland is becoming an attractive destination for USMNT internationals. Malik Tillman has enjoyed a successful spell at Rangers where he has scored 10 goals in 28 games. Also, Cameron Carter-Vickers who plays for rivals Celtic has been a mainstay in their defence. He has helped them win the Scottish Premiership this season.
Celtic have now won two league titles in a row and Rangers need to make quality signings if they are to challenge their bitter rivals next season. Trusty would definitely reinforce Michael Beale's side.
USMNT news: Haji Wright to Southampton
Haji Wright has an impressive record for Antalyaspor this season where he has found the back of the net 15 times in 25 matches. This form will likely earn him a move to a league which competes at a higher level.
The Daily Mail has revealed that "Southampton has checked on USA international striker Haji Wright after impressing in Turkey club soccer."
It is almost certain that the Saints will be playing in the Championship next season. They are currently bottom of the Premier League and lost 4-3 to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest yesterday.
England's second tier will still be a step up from the Super Lig. It will also be a great opportunity for Wright to help Southampton back to the Premier League.
