Today's USMNT news includes Yunus Musah agreeing to join AC Milan and Bryan Reynolds could join Westerlo permanently. Elsewhere, fixtures have been announced for what will be Gregg Berhalter's first games back in charge of the Stars and Stripes.
USMNT news: Yunus Musah to AC Milan
Yunus Musah has recently been linked with both AC Milan and Inter Milan. However, it now appears that the USMNT midfielder has chosen to play for the team that wears red and black stripes.
Relevo has reported that Musah has agreed to join Milan but the club and Valencia still need to agree on a deal. The player spent time in Italy with Giorgione in his youth, so a return to the country is very fitting.
There is a chance that there will be a notable contingent of Stars and Stripes players at Milan next season. According to Pietro Snicks, "After targeting (Christian) Pulisic and Yunus Musah, the next target in place is Weston McKennie."
USMNT news: Bryan Reynolds to Westerlo
Bryan Reynolds is currently starring for the Stars and Stripes at the Gold Cup. The right-back capped off a great performance against Saint Kitts and Nevis with a goal from range.
Last season, Reynolds enjoyed a successful loan at Belgian side Westerlo from AS Roma. Now Luca Bendoni has revealed that "Westerlo have sent a new bid to AS Roma trying to keep Bryan Reynolds on a permanent deal after last season's loan. The offer for USMNT defender has been discussed."
Reynolds has also been linked with West Ham United this summer. However, if he joins the Hammers it will be likely that he will be sent out on loan anyway. So a transfer to Westerlo does make sense for the player.
USMNT news: Fixtures announced
U.S. Soccer has announced fixtures against Uzbekistan and Oman that will take place at CITYPARK and Allianz Field respectively in September. These will be Gregg Berhalter's first games back in charge as he is due to step back into the dugout after the Gold Cup.
Berhalter told U.S. Soccer, "We are very intentional and committed to presenting different challenges to our team during the next three years as we continue to develop the program.
"Uzbekistan and Oman are first-time opponents for us and both are preparing for the AFC Asian Cup, so we expect them to be good tests. We look forward to visiting two excellent soccer facilities and performing in front of the fantastic supporters in St. Louis and the Twin Cities."
These are good fixtures for Berhalter to return for but his side will face tougher tests the following month. The USMNT are scheduled to face Germany and Ghana in October.
