Today's USMNT news includes Jesse Marsch being linked with Monaco, there is speculation about Brenden Aaronson's future at Leeds United and West Ham have a plan for Bryan Reynolds.
USMNT news: Jesse Marsch to Monaco
Jesse Marsch has been available since he was sacked by Leeds United earlier this year. He remains a candidate for the USMNT job but continues to be linked with clubs in Europe. After his departure from Elland Road, he spoke to Southampton and Leicester but turned them down as he waits for the right opportunity.
According to CBS Sports, "With AS Monaco head coach Philippe Clement unlikely to remain in charge beyond this season, American manager and U.S. men's national team candidate Jesse Marsch is now a possibility for the Ligue 1 outfit."
If Marsch is to join Monaco then he would have the whole of pre-season to work with the side. Monaco is currently sixth in Ligue 1, so have an outside chance of qualifying for European soccer next season.
Monaco's sporting director is Paul Mitchell who was head of recruitment at RB Leipzig. Therefore, he would know Marsch from his time working at the Bundesliga club. Mitchell is expected to leave Monaco at the end of the next transfer window. However, he could set the club up for the future by appointing Marsch.
Marsch has a big decision to make, he could go for the USA job and lead his country to the World Cup in 2026 which they are co-hosting. Or he could continue coaching at the highest level in European soccer.
USMNT news: Brenden Aaronson's relegation clause
Leeds United have now been relegated from the Premier League and the USMNT contingent at the club looks to be breaking up. Weston McKennie will head back to Juventus but the futures of Brenden Aaronson and Tyler Adams are still up in the air.
Tom Bogert of The Athletic has reported that "Brenden Aaronson has a relegation release clause in his contract, which is now active with Leeds United's relegation. The clause makes it more likely the USMNT midfielder transfers this summer. Sources expect clause to be triggered."
Aaronson would not want to spend next season in the Championship. If he has an opportunity to play in one of Europe's top five leagues then he must take this chance.
USMNT news: West Ham's plan for Bryan Reynolds
Bryan Reynolds who is currently on loan at Westerlo from AS Roma, has been linked with a move to West Ham United this summer. It appears that the Hammers have a plan for the defender if he is to make the move to the London Stadium.
Tom Bogert has revealed that "West Ham's pursuit of USMNT fullback Bryan Reynolds would include the plan of an initial loan to Sparta Prague for the 2023-24 season."
Reynolds would struggle to get into West Ham's team at the moment. They have Vladimir Coufal and Thilo Kehrer as right-back options. However, Reynolds is only 21 and could develop into a Hammers player in the future.
