Looking at the 2023 US Open qualifying results from sites throughout the world to see which players earned their way into the field at LA Country Club.
Known colloquially as Golf's Longest Day, Monday, June 5 is the setting for the last 2023 US Open qualifying tournaments. At 10 sites throughout the country and in Canada, 878 players who have not yet previously qualified to play at Los Angeles Country Club for the third major championship of the year will compete over 36 holes for 64 spots remaining in the field.
These aren't just regular joes out there trying to get into a major championship either — though there are some of those players too. Many professionals, some on the PGA Tour, some on LIV Golf, some from Europe, and many others are all competing at US Open qualifying to get into the major field and have a chance at glory.
It's a lot to keep track of, so we're going through all 10 US Open qualifying results from Monday to see what's happening on golf's longest day with live scoring results that will be updated throughout the day. We'll also take a look at the three previous qualifiers that were completed prior to Golf's Longest Day to see who punched their ticket to the 123rd US Open already.

Tacoma Country & Golf Club – Lake Wood, WA (53 players, 2 spots)

Frankly, there aren't a lot of notables in the late-starting field in Washington. But these are the guys in line to qualify early on in the proceedings with more than 18 holes left to play for most.
Lambton Golf & Country Club – Toronto, Ontario (27 players, 3 spots)

For such a small field, there are a lot of notable names in Toronto, perhaps the most fun being Ludvig Aberg, a college superstar on the verge of breaking into the PGA Tour and the pro ranks. This is also where Michael Block, the PGA Championship sensation, is trying to qualify. As of this writing, he is T12 at 1-under par for his Monday. Harry Higgs, a fan favorite, finished his first round at 1-over.
Hillcrest Country Club – Los Angeles, CA (89 players, 5 spots)

Brendan Steele is one of the most notable players in the field and is at 1-under as of this writing, a couple strokes or more off of the pace.

Though it's not concluded, LIV Golf star Carlos Ortiz looks on the verge of playing his way into the 2023 US Open. Matthew Wolff was supposed to be in this field but withdrew.

The national player of the year in the college ranks, Gordon Sargent, got off to a hot start and appears on track to punch his ticket to LACC. Meanwhile, veterans like Bill Haas, Patton Kizzire and Ollie Schniederjans have all withdrawn after falling out of contention to qualify.
Woodmont Country Club – Rockville, MD (60 players, 4 spots)

Two LIV Golf members in Munoz and Leishman feel like they're well on their way to qualifying after nice starts in Maryland. Another notable in Joseph Bramlett was at even par and has work to do in order to get to LACC.

Thorbjornsen is another high-upside player who could make noise. Tringale, who joined LIV Golf, is in the mix if he can get hot on his second 18 holes. Amateur veteran Stewart Hagestad has work to do after shooting 1-under in the first round.

The biggest site is loaded at the top of the leaderboard and with notables still in contention. Glover, Cole, Echavarria, Rodgers and List are all familiar to many golf fans. Inside two strokes of qualifying are Kevin Streelman, Stewart Cink, Tyson Alexander, Ben Taylor, and Aaron Baddeley. Other notables like Cameron Champ, Jason Kokrak, Chris Gotterup, Alex Smalley, Sam Ryder and more are well off the pace. Byeong Hun An, Cole Hammer, Matthew NeSmith, and David Lipsky all either WD'd or did not finish.
Springfield Country Club – Springfield, OH (75 players, 5 spots)

Stevens looks like he's going to cruise out of Springfield into LACC, as does Wu. Hickok, Merritt and Pendrith, all PGA Tour veterans, are trying to hold onto their spots while the likes of Detry, Beau Hossler, Robert Streb, Mark Hubbard, JJ Spaun, and Nick Hardy are all within four strokes of the Top 5.
Old Chatham Golf Club – Durham, NC (76 players, 5 spots)

In an absolutely deep field with only five spots on the line, many have called NC the most difficult site. The five spots are still up for grabs with a deep group still within striking distance, including Harold Varner III, trying to make it to LACC out of LIV Golf.

Both Wilco Nienaber and Ross Fisher will be familiar to PGA Tour fans while DP World Tour viewers will know several others. It's also notable that Tom Lewis, Jazz Janewattananond and Kiradech Aphibarnrat were in the field, but failed to qualify.
Ibaraki Golf Club – Prefecture, Japan (29 players, 3 spots)

With a limited field, there weren't a lot of spots available in Japan. However, Nagano and Ishikawa might be familiar to golf fans in some capacity. However, Shaun Norris, Satoshi Kodaira and Keita Nakajima were in the field and did not make it into the Top 3 needed to qualify.
Northwood Club and Bent Tree Country Club – Dallas, TX (120 players, 8 spots)

Young completely dominated in Texas to continue what's been a sneaky good season on the PGA Tour. It's also notable that Sergio Garcia was able to play his way into the US Open after joining LIV Golf. Meanwhile, the list of notables to not qualify in Dallas is long, including these players: Michael Kim, Ryan Palmer, Graeme McDowell, Brandon Wu, Doug Ghim, Yannik Paul, Will Gordon, Branden Grace, J.B. Holmes, Henrik Norlander, and Will Gordon.
