Top 90: The best players in the Premier League - 90-81 ranked

It's fairly common knowledge at this point that the Premier League is, by quite a distance, the best league in the world.

The league is home to the European champions, teams who can spend a combined £1.5bn on new players this summer, the best manager possibly of all time (Pep Guardiola), and - perhaps most importantly - the best footballers in the world.

Ahead of the 2023/24 season we at 90min thought we'd have a crack at predicting who the top 90 players will be in the Premier League next season.

Here's the rankings from 90-81:

90. Gabriel Magalhaes

Club: Arsenal
Position: Defender

A key member of Arsenal's surprise title challengers last season, there are some doubts about whether or not Gabriel will retain his importance to the Gunners during the 2023/24 campaign.

New signings such as Jurrien Timber and even Declan Rice could be bad news for Gabriel, even though they're very much good news for Mikel Arteta.

89. Jadon Sancho

Club: Manchester United
Position: Wide forward

A make or break season?

After two rather underwhelming campaigns at Old Trafford, it really seems that way for Jadon Sancho.

The England international has all the talent to succeed under Erik ten Hag and he'll be hoping to finally stay healthy enough to showcase said talent this season.

88. Evan Ferguson

Club: Brighton and Hove Albion
Position: Forward

One of the breakout stars of the tail-end of the 2022/23 Premier League season, there's a world in which Evan Ferguson becomes one of the best strikers in the country within the next 12 months.

The Republic of Ireland has the frame and the offensive awareness to give every defender in the league nightmares.

87. Benoit Badiashile

Club: Chelsea
Position: Defender

Although currently on the mend after suffering a serious hamstring injury, Badiashile has done enough in his short time at Stamford Bridge thus far to suggest that he's going to become a key player for Chelsea.

86. Jacob Ramsey

Club: Aston Villa
Position: Midfielder

One of the many players who has gone from strength to strength under Unai Emery at Villa Park, we fully expect Ramsey to continue to improve and impress during the 2023/24 campaign.

85. Callum Wilson

Club: Newcastle United
Position: Forward

There's two things Callum Wilson guarantees: goals and injury lay-offs.

The former is why he's on this list; the latter is why he's not higher on it.

When fit, he is a great goal-getter.

84. Dejan Kulusevski

Club: Tottenham Hotspur
Position: Wide forward

Dejan Kulusevski was probably the hardest player to rank on this list.

At times he's looked utterly unplayable at Tottenham, but there've also been times where he's looked utterly hopeless too. Ultimately, we expect a bit of both from Kulu next season.

83. Lewis Dunk

Club: Brighton and Hove Albion
Position: Defender

From an inconsistent performer to a very, very consistent one.

Lewis Dunk has been putting in solid showings at Brighton for the best part of the last decade, and we don't expect any drop-off in performances any time soon.

82. Lucas Paqueta

Club: West Ham United
Position: Midfielder

Following the sale of Declan Rice and subsequent signing of *checks notes* no one, it's fair to say that Lucas Paqueta has his work cut out for him in the West Ham midfield.

The Brazilian is a quality football but whether or not he has enough in his locker to keep the Hammers away from the drop zone remains to be seen.

81. Rasmus Hojlund

Club: Manchester United
Position: Forward

A recent £72m signing for Manchester United, it's fair to say that big things are expected from Rasmus Hojlund.

After a stunning year at both club and international level, there's no reason to suggest that he won't be a smash hit at Old Trafford. He's a superstar in the making.
