Rodrigo Bentancur is set for an extended period on the sidelines as a result of the ankle injury he picked up in Tottenham Hotspur's defeat to Aston Villa, 90min understands.

Sources have confirmed to 90min that Bentancur underwent scans on his ankle on Tuesday and the results suggest he could be facing at least two months on the sidelines as a result of the injury.
