We're already four weeks into the Premier League season and starting to get a good idea of what to expect from teams across the division.
Teams are emerging as title challengers, while a group at the bottom are already being cut adrift, and this week saw some individual performances which could go a long way to defining the final layout of the table next summer.
Here's 90min's team of the week.
Premier League team of the week: Gameweek 4
GK: Jordan Pickford (Everton)
Pickford's double save to deny Oli McBurnie was the sort of moment that can change a season, and with Everton braced for another tough campaign, it could easily be decisive when the dust settles next summer.
Hugely unfortunate to concede an own goal, Pickford more than made up for it by earning Everton a share of the spoils.
RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
When Alexander-Arnold gets going, you can't stop him. No defender on the planet can keep up with the Liverpool right-back when he's at his free-flowing best, and Aston Villa learned that the hard way.
Fans will be sweating over his injury scare because, if Alexander-Arnold keeps this form up, Liverpool might just have a title charge on their hands.
CB: Kurt Zouma (West Ham)
A dominant defensive performance and a goal to go with it. Not a bad weekend for Zouma.
West Ham United are absolutely flying right now, much like Zouma as he rose highest to head home a corner from James Ward-Prowse to break Luton Town hearts.
CB: Willy Boly (Nottingham Forest)
Nottingham Forest had to work hard against Chelsea but ultimately earned their victory, with the excellent Boly playing a crucial role in that.
A special mention to teammate Joe Worrall, who Steve Cooper revealed after the game came out and thumped Chelsea shortly after the death of someone close to him. A proper captain's performance.
LB: Destiny Udogie (Tottenham)
Tottenham Hotspur had a scare against Burnley but excellent showings from players like Udogie ultimately inspired them to a comfortable victory.
Is Udogie the best left-back in the Premier League right now? If he keeps playing like this, there won't be much of an argument soon.
DM: Declan Rice (Arsenal)
If you want to endear yourself to Arsenal fans, a stoppage time winner against Manchester United is about as effective of a method as you'll find.
Rice crashed home late on to cap off an excellent performance and seal an enormous three points for Arsenal.
CM: Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool)
The only thing missing from Szoboszlai's impressive start to life in Liverpool was goals, but the Hungary international put that right in emphatic fashion against Aston Villa.
His sweet strike early on set the tone for what would be a controlling performance from Szoboszlai, who ran the show.
CM: Martin Odegaard (Arsenal)
If we're being honest, some of Arsenal's big names didn't really show up against United. The Gunners needed their captain to lead by example, and Odegaard rose to the challenge.
His immediate equaliser ensured Arsenal didn't lose any momentum and Odegaard gave his all to ensure the three points stayed at the Emirates.
AM: James Maddison (Tottenham)
Burnley weren't much of an opposition but Maddison's elite performance was enough to cause problems for any defence on the planet.
A creative cog in the Postecoglou machine, Maddison took his goal well and appears to already have found his feet at Tottenham. If he's this good this early, just imagine what he'll be cooking in a few months.
ST: Son Heung-min (Tottenham)
Ange Postecoglou admitted after the game that Son's quality played a large part in the decision not to buy a direct replacement for Harry Kane, and on this evidence, you can't really argue with that.
Just the three goals for Son, whose season is now underway with a bang.
ST: Evan Ferguson (Brighton)
While Erling Haaland was scoring a hat-trick without playing particularly well, Ferguson was matching his feat with a terrifying showing of his ability.
Brighton & Hove Albion will be licking their lips at the thought of just how much they will be able to sell the striker for in 12 months.
