Premier League goalkeepers - 2023/24 power rankings

As the best league in the world, the Premier League notably plays host to some of the best footballers around.

Along with goal-getting world class forwards, dynamic midfielders and stout defenders, the league is also the home of a number of brilliant goalkeepers too.

Here's 90min's ten most in-form goalkeepers in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign.

10. Sam Johnstone

Now the new Crystal Palace number one, Sam Johnstone impressed in his team's crucial win over Sheffield United in gameweek one - being one of four goalkeepers to keep a clean sheet.

9. Mark Flekken

The David Raya replacement earned himself an impressive 8/10 rating in his debut for Brentford against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday by "demonstrating a superb range of kicking and saving his side on multiple occasions."

8. Neto

One of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Premier League last season, 34-year-old Neto rarely put a foot wrong for Bournemouth at the weekend.

A solid, solid, Premier League goalkeeper.

7. Alphonse Areola

After quite a few years of waiting, Alphonse Areola is finally West Ham United's number one goalkeeper.

And, in his first Premier League game as the starting goalie, Areola more than held up his end of the bargain by making four saves at the Vitality Stadium.

6. Aaron Ramsdale

With David Raya now breathing down his neck at the Emirates Stadium, Aaron Ramsdale is set to be in a dogfight for his place in the Arsenal starting XI all season.

Despite that signing, there's no doubting that Ramsdale is a quality goalkeeper and he showed that against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

5. Nick Pope

The best goalkeeper in the Premier League last season?

Probably.

The ex-Burnley man has become a crucial part of Newcastle United's team - a team which just happened to look bloody brilliant in their 5-1 win over Aston Villa.

4. Ederson

One of the greatest ball-playing goalkeepers of all time, Ederson is an integral component of Pep Guardiola's well-oiled treble-winning machine.

He kept a clean sheet in rather comfortable fashion at Turf Moor to kickstart his 2023/24 campaign.

3. Bernd Leno

Put simply: Fulham do not win their opening game without Bernd Leno.

The German was in inspired form at Goodison Park, making nine truly stunning saves to keep a clean sheet and earn his side a narrow 1-0 win.

2. Andre Onana

Look he's not going to get away with punching people in the head every week, but aside from that late blip, Andre Onana was as advertised in his Old Trafford debut.

The ex-Inter man was typically brilliant with the ball at his feet and he made a few crucial saves with his hands too.

1. Alisson

The best goalkeeper in the Premier League, and probably the best goalkeeper in the world.

Liverpool weren't particularly impressive on Sunday, but Alisson still shone by making a number of crucial saves in the second half of the game at Stamford Bridge.
