NFL Rumors: Travis Kelce comments on rampant Taylor Swift gossip

We interrupt your normal football broadcasting to deliver news on the hottest rumored it-couple in the NFL. Are Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and renowned pop star Taylor Swift going out?

Kelce has been linked to the Grammy-winning megastar ever since he allegedly tried to give her his number at an Eras Tour concert in July. Ever since then, the dating rumors started spreading like wildfire with a handful of sports personalities joining in on the fun.

This past Sunday, play-by-play commentator referenced Swift's son, "Blank Space," when he described Kelce's touchdown against the Jaguars. A few days earlier, Travis Kelce's brother, Jason Kelce, was grilled about Travis' involvement with Swift in an on-air appearance on Prime Video's post-game show after the Eagles-Vikings matchup. Jason Kelce declined to comment.

Now, Rich Eisen is fueling the rumors with his recent Tik Tok compilation jammed full of Taylor Swift puns. While delivering news on Kelce's status, Eisen referenced Swift's most popular songs including "Shake It Off," "Delicate," and "August."

Kelce caught wind of Eisen's video and left a playful comment on Instagram. "Well played Rich.... Well played."

In all likelihood, this all means nothing. Zilch. Squat.

Kelce is still focused on the Chiefs' 2023 season, and Swift is living her own life. Whether the two are dating is honestly no one's business but theirs. On the other hand.... Move over, Russ and Ciara. There could be a new power couple in town.

NFL Rumors: Russell Wilson beats Drew Brees in this sad Sean Payton-related stat

The Denver Broncos lost to the Washington Commanders in Week 2, blowing an 18-point lead against Eric Bieniemy's new-look NFC East team.

The game definitely delivered on the virtue of entertainment alone as it featured everything from dirty hits to Hail Mary passes to buckets of touchdowns on both sides. It also left a pretty nasty splotch on Sean Payton's pristine resume.

With the 35-33 loss, Sean Payton is now 72-1 when his team has an 18-point lead. In Payton's past head coaching stint in New Orleans, then-Saints quarterback Drew Brees had never managed to blow such a large lead. On Sunday, Russell Wilson did.

This stat is only the latest undesirable footnote to be added to Sean Payton's legacy. The ex-Saints coach is 0-2 to start the 2023 season and has yet to face the big guns of the AFC West. Payton will go down in history as the Saints' most successful coach of all time and a Hall-of-Famer, but he still has his work cut out for him in Denver.

Up next, a challenging matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Let's see if Russell Wilson can keep dragging Payton down.

NFL Rumors: A potential Jonathan Taylor-Browns trade package after Nick Chubbs injury

Following Nick Chubb's devastating season-ending injury, the Browns may be on the prowl for a new running back. Barring an unlikely reunion with Kareem Hunt or a sneaky trade for Cam Akers, Colts' Jonathan Taylor poses as one of Cleveland's top potential targets.

The Colts running back has expressed his frustration in Indy all offseason long and requested a trade prior to the start of the 2023 season. Indy granted him that request but failed to find a trade partner in time; Taylor's speculated suitors included the Packers and the Dolphins.

With Nick Chubb out and no proven depth behind him, the Browns, who just suffered an embarrassing loss to the Steelers in an ugly MNF matchup, can keep their playoff hopes alive by acquiring Taylor.

The Colts are reportedly seeking a first-round pick or similar compensation for the All-Pro back, yet Taylor landing on the PUP list for the first four games of the season may lower his overall value.

What could a Colts-Browns trade look like?

Pat McAfee jokingly says: The Browns get Taylor, and the Colts get Amari Cooper and Brownie the Elf.

Maybe cut out the Elf, throw in another starting-caliber player, and the Colts and Browns have a deal. Cooper, a former first-rounder in 2015, still carries potential despite being unceremoniously dumped by the Cowboys two years ago. The Browns don't have their 2024 first-round pick due to the Deshaun Watson trade and probably wouldn't consider giving up a pick that high, anyway.

In a possible players-only trade, Jonathan Taylor in exchange for Amari Cooper and perhaps a second-string offensive lineman seems at least like a good starting point.
