It is crazy to think that 10 weeks of the 2023 NFL season have already come and gone. As the season progresses, the fantasy football season intensifies.
With Week 11 upon us, fantasy football playoffs are on the horizon. The time to adjust your lineups/rosters accordingly is now. One waiver wire transaction can change the outlook of your season.
Be sure to add these players, who are available in at least 50 percent of Yahoo Fantasy football leagues, for Week 11 and beyond if they're sitting on your waiver wire.
QB Waiver Wire Pickups, Fantasy Football Week 11
Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos (46 percent rostered)
The results of Russell Wilson's Week 10 matchup against the Bills on ESPN's Monday Night Football have yet to be determined as of this writing. Still, he makes for a viable waiver wire addition for those who have been streaming the quarterback position.
Wilson has averaged 17.3 fantasy points per game according to FantasyPros, which has him sitting as the QB18 on a per-game basis. However, Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson (who has been out for the season since Week 6 and Cardinals signal-caller Kyler Murray (who just made his season debut in Week 10) each rank ahead of Wilson despite the limited sample sizes.
The Broncos quarterback has scored at least 15 fantasy points in six of his eight games this season. In eight games, he has thrown for at least 300 yards and/or multiple touchdown passes in six contests. Wilson has also provided himself a weekly floor by rushing for at least 30 yards in four of the eight games he's played this season.
With matchups against the Texans, Chargers (twice), and Patriots in the coming weeks, Wilson makes for a reliable quarterback option with reasonable upside.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (43 percent rostered)
It hasn't been pretty for Jordan Love and the Packers offense from a real-life perspective, but from a fantasy football perspective, Love has gotten the job done. The overall QB13 in terms of total points, Love has averaged 17.8 fantasy points per game through 10 weeks of the 2023 NFL season.
After a hot start to the season that saw Love as the overall QB3 on a per-game basis through the first four weeks of the season, averaging 22.1 points per game. Love has regressed since, averaging just 14.5 fantasy points per game. Still, he's been fairly consistent during that stretch, exceeding 15 points in three of his past five starts.
The ceiling Love displayed in the first month of the season may not still be there anymore, but Love's floor makes him a reliable bye-week fill-in option with quarterbacks such as Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields, Joshua Dobbs, and Sam Howell yet to have their bye weeks.
Not to mention, Love has opportune matchups against the Giants, Bucs, and Panthers from Weeks 14-16, which could lead to a big finish to the season as Love tries to show the Packers he is their quarterback of the future after the team declined his fifth-year option before the season.
RB Waiver Wire Pickups, Fantasy Football Week 11
Devin Singletary, Houston Texans (50 percent rostered)
With Dameon Pierce out for a second consecutive week due to an ankle injury, Devin Singletary fared much better against the Bengals in Week 10 than he did against the Bucs in Week 9. Singletary led all players in rushing yards (150) and carries (30) this week, playing a huge role in the Texans' upset victory over Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
Singletary was consistently ripping off chunk gains throughout the game, having multiple rush attempts that resulted in double-digit yardage, his longest attempt going for 22 yards. It was a welcomed sight for the Texans, who have not been able to get much of anything going in the run game this season. Singletary's effort was the first 100-yard outing of the season for any Texans rusher.
Pierce's status for Week 11 and beyond remains unclear, but Singletary has been the more efficient player on a per-touch basis all season. Singletary has averaged 3.9 yards per carry to Pierce's 3.0 yards per carry through the first 10 weeks of the season.
Regardless of Pierce's health, Singletary has shown he deserves a larger share of the pie moving forward following this career-best performance. Add Singletary where you can and be sure to monitor Pierce's status.
Keaton Mitchell, Baltimore Ravens (47 percent rostered)
Over the past two games, Ravens rookie running back Keaton Mitchell has turned 14 touches into 200 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. While the volume leaves much to be desired, there is no denying Mitchell is an explosive athlete who adds another layer of dynamism to the Ravens offense.
Mitchell has quickly emerged as the lightning to Gus Edwards' thunder, creating a formidable backfield duo. Mitchell doubled Edwards' touches in Week 9 and followed it up with an impressive Week 10 that included this remarkable 39-yard touchdown.
The Ravens led by quarterback Lamar Jackson have been amongst the NFL's most dominant offenses in 2023. Now, they add an explosive running back into the mix to further bolster their status as an elite offense.
Mitchell missed the first five games of the season due to a shoulder injury but has since been activated to the 53-man roster and the Ravens have quickly found a role for him. This is an opportunity to add a player who should continue seeing his usage increase as the season progresses on a high-powered offense.
WR Waiver Wire Pickups, Fantasy Football Week 11
Demario Douglas, New England Patriots (36 percent rostered)
Since Week 7, Demario Douglas has recorded double-digit PPR fantasy points in three of his last four games. Douglas' emergence has coincided with the Patriots losing wide receiver Kendrick Bourne to a torn ACL in Week 8. He's been the Patriots preferred option in the passing game since Bourne went down, earning at least seven targets in each of the Patriots' last three games.
Since Week 7, Douglas has had no less than four receptions in a game, showcasing his floor as a PPR WR3/FLEX option. While Douglas may not offer much of a ceiling on a Patriots offense that has a case to be made for being the worst offensive unit in the NFL, his role is stable enough that it should allow Douglas to be a serviceable fantasy option.
Whether it be Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe, or anyone else under center for the Patriots at quarterback following their Week 11 bye, Douglas will continue to be the primary target on a team that is so desperately lacking playmakers.
At 2-8, the Patriots are going nowhere fast and continue to face negative game scripts every week. This bodes well for Douglas' fantasy prospects moving forward.
Noah Brown, Houston Texans (25 percent rostered)
Over the past two weeks, Noah Brown has averaged a whopping 25.8 PPR fantasy points per game. In that span, only Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen have scored more fantasy points. That is elite company for Brown and he is currently attached to one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL, CJ Stroud, which suggests the good times could continue to roll for Brown.
Brown has turned 14 targets into 13 receptions, 325 receiving yards, and a touchdown during his last two games. He has established himself as Stroud's big-play weapon in the passing game, averaging no less than 18.5 yards per touch in each of the Texans' past four games.
While Brown may have benefitted from the Texans missing their No. 1 wide receiver Nico Collins against the Bengals, what he has done over the past two weeks has earned him the benefit of the doubt moving forward even when Collins returns.
With Stroud continuing to play at an MVP-caliber level as a rookie, Brown is a player worth rostering moving forward. Brown and the Texans face the Cardinals hapless defense in Week 11, which presents another opportunity for Brown to continue his hot streak.
TE Waiver Wire Pickups, Fantasy Football Week 11
Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers (36 percent rostered)
It has been an injury-riddled season for Pat Freiermuth, who plans to resume practicing and hopes he'll be ready for the Steelers Week 11 game against the Browns after being placed on injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.
Freiermuth will be looking to make his return to the Steelers lineup for the first time since Week 4. The talented tight end got off to a slow start to the season before suffering an injury, but he was last season's overall TE7 and TE9 on a per-game basis.
The current landscape of the tight end position in fantasy football is less than ideal, to say the least. With that in mind, a tight end with Freiermuth's upside needs to be rostered in more than 36 percent of Yahoo Fantasy football leagues.
Before missing time due to injury, Freiermuth scored a touchdown in two of the four games he played this season, suggesting that he is someone quarterback Kenny Pickett looks for when the Steelers get near the end zone.
Freiermuth's talent, role within the Steelers offense, and the overall state of the tight end position make him a must-add player for anyone who has been riding the tight end carousel throughout the season.
Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (11 percent rostered)
The Jets badly need a pass-catcher beyond Garrett Wilson to emerge as Zach Wilson's No. 2 option and it looks like that may be Tyler Conklin. Conklin has quietly scored double-digit PPR fantasy points in three of his past five games, recording at least five targets in the three games he scored at least 10 fantasy points.
Conklin lacks touchdown equity on a Jets offense that ranks 30th in points per game (14.0) but has established a valuable role as Wilson's security blanket in the middle of the field. He's recorded multiple receptions in but two games this season and recorded at least 50 yards in five of the Jets' nine games this season.
With Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert expected to miss multiple weeks due to a fractured right forearm, as well as tight ends such as Kyle Pitts, Taysom Hill, Mark Andrews, Dalton Kincaid, Cole Kmet, T.J. Hockenson, and Trey McBride all yet to have their bye weeks, Conklin makes for a viable replacement with a respectable floor but limited ceiling.
