Atlanta United have confirmed that midfielder Marcelino Moreno has made his loan move to Brazilian first division side Coritiba permanent.
In 68 league games for Atlanta, Moreno tallied 13 goals and 14 assists. The 29-year-old showed signs of promise but didn't quite fit into the starting 11 as Atlanta would've hoped.
In the winter transfer window, Moreno joined Coritiba on loan with the Brazilian side containing an option to make his move permanent, which they took up right before the summer transfer window closed.
Moreno's transfer wasn't the only move the Five Stripes made in the summer. Atlanta brought in midfielder Tristan Muyumba, forwards Jamal Thiare and Saba Lobzhanidze on permanent deals, while also signing forward Xande Silva on loan from Dijon FCO.
Atlanta now sets their sights on their August 20 MLS clash with the Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field.
