Jimmy Butler’s next Big Face scam is here: Play him 1-on-1 for $699

As part of his basketball/cheerleading camp, Jimmy Butler is offering 1v1 matches to campers and parents who dare to challenge him.

Besides hosting a basketball/cheerleading camp, Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is also offering 1-on-1 matchups for both campers and parents, according to Miami Heat reporter, Will Manso's latest tweet.

Heat: Jimmy Butler offers 1-on-1 matches to campers and parents.

According to the camp's website, this will take place on Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The cost to register is $349 and includes:

  • Attendance to the camp on August 26 and 27
  • Jimmy Butler Celebrity Sports Academy T-shirt
  • Gatorade/water
  • Autographed keepsake photo card

If you're crazy enough to challenge the six-time All-Star, that's going to be an additional cost. In fact, just to secure a game with Jimmy Butler, it's $699, not including registration.

Per the website, this experience is limited to three players. And, In addition to sharing the hardwood with Butler, campers that purchase the one-on-one package will also receive:

  • Individual photo with Jimmy Butler
  • Autographed keepsake
  • Complementary access to download photos

The whole ordeal is reminiscent of NBA Legend Brian Scalabrine and his open one-on-one invitation he held back in 2011, officially known as the "Scallenge."

To emphasize the immense talent gap between casual hoopers and NBA players, the 6-foot-9 forward faced off against any player up for the challenge. Ultimately, this led to the birth of the legendary white mamba quote, "I'm way closer to LeBron than you are to me." And, boy, was he right. Scalabrine ended up outscoring his opponents 44-6 through all games played.

All jokes aside, you could not pay me enough money for me to take on a Jimmy Butler who is fresh off of leading his team to the NBA Finals, only to lose it. That's downright terrifying. A two-way contract should be given to any camper that forces Butler to miss. And, in the event of a loss, expect at least a 10-day rookie minimum from Spoelstra.
