Jadon Sancho set for Man Utd future talks with Erik ten Hag

Jadon Sancho is due to hold talks with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag on Monday, sources have confirmed to 90min.

The 23-year-old's future at Old Trafford is up in the air after he publicly criticised Ten Hag on social media having been left out of the squad to face Arsenal.

Ten Hag cited disappointing training displays as the reason for Sancho's absence at the Emirates Stadium, but the winger contested the Dutchman's version of events by claiming that he'd in fact trained well and alleged there were "other reasons" behind his omission.

The situation was complicated further when United held talks with Al Ettifaq over a shock late switch to the Saudi Pro League, though a deal failed to come to fruition before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Sancho is now due back at Carrington along with the other United players not away on international duty, and is set to meet with Ten Hag, who sources have confirmed was infuriated with the player's post on social media. 90min understands that Ten Hag has no issues with any player raising concerns about his decisions, but will not stand for the sort of reaction witnessed from Sancho.

It is also understood that United are concerned that Sancho's critical social media post remains and is pinned at the top of his X account.

The Sancho fiasco comes at a time when United also have concerns over another winger, Antony, who is currently in Brazil addressing assault allegations made by three women including his former partner.

United, who recently made the decision to cut ties with Mason Greenwood, have agreed to allow Antony time away from the club, and said in a statement on Sunday: "Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony.

"Players who have not participated in international matches are due back in training on Monday. However, it has been agreed with Antony that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.

"As a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse."

Authorities in Brazil and England are looking into the allegations but Antony, whose situation will not have any bearing on Sancho's future, is not currently the subject of any police action.
