Podcasters can be known for their controversial takes, but one football pod has angered footy fans everywhere with their opinion on supporting a team. The clip that has gone viral is from the Half A Yard TV podcast hosted by Hass, Omz and Omar where the trio discussed whether a football fan can only support one team or whether they can support multiple ones in different leagues. It came after Omar initially questioned why Queens Park Rangers fans support their team. "This might be controversial but I don't think you can proper[ly] be into football and like only support that team," co-host Hass said. "You gotta have like a Premier League [team], someone that you enjoy in the Prem something like that." He said "I can't be an Accrington Stanley fan," referring to the League Two side. While one of the co-hosts Omz appeared to disagree, the third co-host Omar explained why they sided with Hass's take. "It's facts because abroad that's what happens, they have their normal team but then they support a Real Madrid or Barcelona." To counter, Omz noted how he's a Manchester United fan and "would still be" in the hypothetical scenario that the team got regulated to the Championship. The pair conceded this point, though Omar noted Man Utd's "history," with Omz disagreeing that the history of the team isn't a factor in whether you would continue to support them if they were regulated into a lower league. Hass also mentioned how QPR have previously been in the Premier League. "You could never write off these teams - remember Leicester when they won the league," Omz added. This conversation has since been viewed over 8.1m times on Twitter/X, and has provoked a lot of reaction - and it's fair to say many football fans disagree with the idea of supporting more than one team for each league. UFC 295 will culminate in two title fights tonight as Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira clash for the vacant light-heavyweight belt, after Tom Aspinall faces Sergei Pavlovich for interim gold at heavyweight. Prochazka relinquished the light-heavyweight title in 2022 after suffering an injury, and his successor Jamahal Hill succumbed to the same fate earlier this year. As such, the belt is vacant again, and Prochazka will bid to regain it from Pereira, who held the middleweight title from late 2022 until this spring. In the co-main event, Aspinall goes up against Pavlovich in a meeting of quick finishers, as the heavyweights fight on short notice. The original main event of UFC 295 pitted heavyweight champ Jon Jones against divisional great Stipe Miocic, but an injury to Jones opened the door for Aspinall vs Pavlovich. Britain’s Aspinall has sealed all of his UFC wins in the first two rounds, while Pavlovich has earned all of his UFC victories in the opening frame. A binding ruling in the Super League case will be handed down on December 21. The Grand Chamber of the European Court of Justice will rule that morning on whether or not UEFA and FIFA acted lawfully in blocking the creation of the Super League in April 2021, and in seeking to sanction the clubs involved. The ruling is a binding interpretation of European Union law, and once handed down the case will then be referred back to the Madrid commercial court that will apply it to the facts of the Super League case. Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has acknowledged how much of a huge loss to the club the departures of James Milner and Roberto Firmino will be. The pair, whose signings in the summer of 2015 pre-date the arrival of current manager Jurgen Klopp by a few months, have played an integral role in their recent success. Both will depart when their contracts expire at the end of the season as Champions League and Premier League winners but Henderson believes their importance extends beyond just on the pitch. On Milner’s contribution, the England midfielder told the PA news agency: “A tremendous amount of value to the team. “I think the manager said it perfectly in that we wouldn’t have achieved anything without Millie. He is such a big character and such a big leader within the team. “It will definitely be strange not seeing him at Liverpool next season, he’s been incredible ever since he came to the club. “He helped me a lot and other players around him and is probably taken for granted a little bit as a player from the outside but from the inside he has got so much respect from all of the players and all of the staff and we wish him all the very best in whatever his next chapter looks like.” Firmino, who has returned to training this week after missing six matches with a muscle problem, is due a particularly emotional farewell in Liverpool’s final home match of the season against Aston Villa on Saturday.
