The September international break is upon us, and several high profile players from Major League Soccer clubs have departed to link up with their home nations ahead of friendlies and qualifiers.

Inter Miami and Atlanta United lead the way with eight and six players heading out, respectively, as Lionel Messi and Thiago Almada will link up for the Argentina national team in their 2026 World Cup qualifying games against Ecuador and Bolivia.

Miami's Drake Callender, Atlanta's Miles Robinson and San Jose Earthquakes' Cade Cowell are set to join up with the US men's national team in their friendly matchups with Oman and Uzbekistan with Gregg Berhalter back in the dugout.
