INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder.

Coach Shane Steichen said Monday that Gardner Minshew will make his second start of the season.

Steichen says he’s not sure how much time, if any, Richardson will miss beyond this week and that the team is still awaiting more information on the injury before determining any additional treatment including possible surgery.

Richardson has made four starts this season, but injuries have forced the 6-foot-4, 244-pound rookie out of three games. He missed the final minute of the season-opening loss to Jacksonville (3-2) with a bruised knee and sore ankle, missed the final three quarters at Houston and the entire Baltimore game while in the concussion protocol and now the shoulder injury.

Minshew has won three of the four games he’s appeared in, including an overtime victory over the Ravens in his first start with Indy. He is completing nearly 69% of his throws this season and has not thrown an interception. Minshew played his first two NFL seasons in Jacksonville before spending two seasons with Steichen in Philadelphia.
