And breathe.

Chelsea and Manchester City delivered liquid Barclays ahead of another unwanted international break on Sunday evening at Stamford Bridge.

The two played out a genuine Premier League classic, filled with eight goals, VAR controversy, and even a 94th minute equaliser scored by Cole Palmer against his former club.

After all that madness, we've taken a look at who were Chelsea's best and worst performers on the day with a little help from 90min's player ratings.

Chelsea's best player vs Man City

Cole Palmer: 8/10

Who else?

Signed by Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer after his former club couldn't guarantee regular gametime at the Etihad Stadium, Palmer poetically came back haunt City on Sunday with his new club.

His headline contribution was, of course, the 94th minute penalty which he coolly slotted into the top corner of the net to make it 4-4, but Palmer's overall performance was also pretty exceptional.

Palmer gave Chelsea a bit of x-factor in the final third throughout by being willing to take on the City defence and try and thread clever passes through to his teammates. The 21-year-old's mazy run, in which he beat three City players with a combination of skill and sheer determination, is probably the best summation of his performance as you're likely to see.

Honourable mention

Raheem Sterling: 8/10

Ex-Man City players just really like sticking to their former club, huh?

Raheem Sterling, like Palmer, played like a man with a point to prove on Sunday - and he did exactly that.

The 28-year-old was fantastic on the left flank turning Kyle Walker inside out on more than one occasion during the game at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling capped off his impressive showing with the sort of goal he became famed for scoring at Man City: a back post tap-in.

Chelsea's worst player vs Man City

Axel Disasi: 4/10

Disasi is one of the many centre backs that Erling Haaland will run rings around this season, so he probably shouldn't feel too bad about.

The 25-year-old was outmatched physically and technically by City's star striker on Sunday, and could only really watch on as he went and scored a brace.

A tough day at the office for Disasi all round.

Dishonourable mention

Marc Cucurella: 4/10

The full-back was rather harshly adjudged to have fouled Haaland early in the game to give away a penalty, but his performance after that left a little to be desired.

Cucurella really struggled to get near Phil Foden out on his flank throughout the 90 minutes.
