Chelsea and Reece James have caused a stir on social media after an Arsenal fan suggested he would like to join the Gunners.
Arsenal completed the signing of Kai Havertz from the Blues earlier this week, with the German becoming the latest player to swap west London for north London.
Jorginho made the same switch from Stamford Bridge to the Emirates Stadium back in January and proved useful in his first few months at Arsenal.
With such transfers proving successful for the Gunners, an Arsenal fan took to Twitter to ask who would 'say no' to James heading to the Emirates Stadium.
James, without prompt, claimed that he would.
This wasn't the end of the matter however, as Chelsea's official account opted to chime in.
They first quote-tweeted James' reply with the message 'one of our own', before posting an image of the right-back winding up Arsenal fans at the Emirates Stadium with his mere presence during their 2-0 win back in August 2021.
In another Twitter altercation earlier on Thursday, Trevoh Chalobah got involved in an exchange with a fan who hoped he would leave Chelsea.
The defender posted a message which is presumed to be about Mason Mount's imminent move to Manchester United.
The fan replied, "God willing you're next," but Chalobah treated them with kindness to take the sting out of the situation.
What a strange day in the world of Chelsea.
