Borussia Dortmund are ready to allow Jamie Bynoe-Gittens to move on loan in January as they continue to explore a possible reunion with Jadon Sancho, 90min understands.
Dortmund have made a solid start to the Bundesliga season, sitting fourth in the standings and still unbeaten, but the belief at the club is that more is needed to make a genuine push for the title and the final third has been identified as an area in need of improvement.
As a result, a potential reunion with Sancho, who remains frozen out at Manchester United after his public spat with manager Erik ten Hag, is part of Dortmund's plans for the January transfer window.
United would be open to a permanent departure but accept a loan is the most likely option for Sancho, although much will depend on the Red Devils' financial demands as Dortmund would struggle to contribute a significant percentage of Sancho's current wages - the Englishman could also agree to a salary cut to help smooth over a move which 90min understands he is keen to make this winter.
90min revealed earlier this month that a long-term loan was an option and Dortmund are keen, but they also need to make room for the 23-year-old and they are ready to consider loaning out some of their current forwards.
Youssoufa Moukoko is known to be agitated by his current status in the squad and is set to be available for loan, while England youth star Bynoe-Gittens is another who is in need of more football on a regular basis having started just two league games this season.
Sancho and Bynoe-Gittens also share the same agents and that could play a helping hand in smoothing over a deal.
Dortmund would only entertain a loan move for Bynoe-Gittens, who recently signed a new long-term contract. The 19-year-old could move abroad, perhaps to England, where he has spent time with Reading and Manchester City, but a loan within the Bundesliga looks the most likely option.
Sancho's representatives are evaluating his options for January and Dortmund are very much in the running, but a deal is far from done at this stage. There is interest from elsewhere in Germany, while clubs from Italy, Spain and England are all keen. Saudi Arabian officials are also expected to reignite their interest after pursuing Sancho earlier this season.
