Watch out, the Oakland Athletics are hot!
Well, relatively hot by their standards. They're on a four-game win streak for the first time all season and now they have a chance to sweep the Milwaukee Brewers, which would be their first series sweep of the season.
The Brewers are tied atop the NL Central at 34-31, so getting swept by the A's would be a less than ideal result for Milwaukee.
Let's dive into the odds for today's series finale and then I'll give you my best bet.

Athletics vs. Brewers prediction and pick
I wrote an article today about how you should always bet against the Brewers when facing left-handed pitchers.
They're last in OPS, batting average, and strikeout percentage when facing left-handed pitchers, and now they have to take on a lefty today in JP Sears of the Athletics. That alone, makes the A's a great underdog bet to pull off the upset and complete the series sweep.
It's also worth noting the A's may be starting to find something offensively. Overall, they're 19th in OPS over the last 14 days. Sure, not eye-popping numbers, but pretty solid stuff from a team that's been in the bottom five for the majority of the season.
The Brewers haven't just been bad against lefties. They have an overall OPS of .646 over the last 14 days, significantly worse than the A's at .690.
I never thought I'd say this, but give me the A's to pull off the series sweep today.
