Gabriel Magalhaes is the latest Arsenal player to suffer a suspected injury, with the defender picking up a knock during international duty with Brazil.
Gabriel made his debut on Saturday evening, playing 85 minutes of a thumping 5-1 win over Bolivia in a 2026 World Cup qualifier. Despite the comfortable scoreline, the centre-back was in the wars during the game, even taking a knee to the chest from Diego Ibanez in the fifth minute.
The Gunners star was eventually subbed off for Al Ahli's Roger Ibanez for the final few minutes.
During those closing stages, Gabriel was spotted with an ice pack held on his thigh, leading Arsenal fans to believe that their centre-back suffered a knock.
A problem for Gabriel would leave Arsenal incredibly short of options in defence, with the club currently without both Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey due to injuries too. Partey suffered a groin issue recently, while new signing Timber is set to miss the bulk of the season just to an ACL injury.
Gabriel had found his way back into the Gunners starting lineup in the win over Manchester United after being dropped to the bench for the first few games of the season.
After the game, the defender took to Instagram to comment on his Brazil debut, but didn't give any updates on the suspected injury: “Only God knows how much I’ve waited for this moment!"
