Aaron Rodgers reacted to Hard Knocks heading to the Jets in exactly the way you could have expected Aaron Rodgers to react.

Hard Knocks is a great insight into an NFL training camp. Fans love it. Teams? Not so much.

That's why there was a bit of a standoff this year with only a handful of eligible teams and zero volunteers to invite the cameras into their facilities.

Ultimately, the Jets drew the short straw, as was inevitable. With Aaron Rodgers coming to New York, they were bound to be the biggest draw for the folks at HBO.

Rodgers, as you'd expect, wasn't exactly jumping for joy over the news.

Aaron Rodgers says Hard Knocks was forced down Jets throats

"I understand the appeal with us. Obviously, there's a lot of eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad," Rodgers told Vern Glenn of KPIX 5. "So they force it down our throats and we've got to deal with it."

Rodgers had one nice thing to say about the show: He's a fan of Liev Schreiber, who narrates it. He hopes he gets the chance to meet him as the result of this assignment.

The Jets were the obvious choice for Hard Knocks with the Bears, Saints and Commanders also in line to be forced to participate. Along with bringing in Rodgers, they had the offensive and defensive Rookie of the Year picks in Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner and now have major aspirations to go along with the massive pressure of representing New York. The only thing HBO is missing out on is some contract drama after Quinnen Williams landed a new deal.

This is the second time the franchise will appear on the show. Then-head coach Rex Ryan and company were featured in 2010.

Jets training camp begins on July 19 so it won't be long before Rodgers and his teammates have to deal with an extra group of cameras documenting their lives.
