With the regular season done and dusted, we already know some of the matchups that will take place in the early rounds of 2023 MLS Cup playoffs.
The new postseason format will feature a Wild Card series between the eighth and ninth place of each conference, with the winner facing the number one seed in the following round. Teams will then compete in a best two out of three format, before heading into the next, knockout stage.
